Lightweight bindings developed originally for racing are increasingly popular and offer impressive weight savings. Customers should be aware that lightweight bindings such as the Dynafit TLT range offer these benefits at a price. They sacrifice sideways toe release and as a general rule are better used by good, experienced skiers only. The lightweight design of these bindings means they are not suited to all round use (resort/piste skiing)and are not as robust as their heavier competitors.
