Scott Punisher : Scott Punisher Aversion : Backcountry Twin-tip Ski of The Year 2007-8 : Scott Punisher :
New this season, the Scott Punisher is a backcountry twin tip designed to tackle all-mountain terrain. Fall Line magazine have voted the Scott Punisher Backcountry twin-tip ski of the year. Closely related to the Scott Mission, the Punisher shares a similar foot-print to the Scott Mission but has a softer wood core particularly in the tail area of the ski. Whether you ride forward or switch, the Punisher's wood core and semi side-wall construction provide outstanding stability and edge hold on hard pack. The softer flex wood core is forgiving in soft snow and on hard landings, the Punisher is as happy landing switch in the park as it is dropping pillows in the trees. A free-ride foot-print with a wide, shovel, mid-fat waist and a 14/16 m dual radius side cut makes this a great twin tip for both park and backcountry skiing. The performance of the Punisher's wood core, far out shines the foam filled cores of some of it's popular but inferior competitors.
