Scott Mission : Scott Mission Aversion : Scott Mission Ski Free Ride Ski of the Year Winter 2006-7 : Scott Mission :
The Scott Mission - the legend continues , already a ski with a cult following, the Mission was one of our most popular skis last year. Demand was such that when Scott ran out of stock last season, a few of you had them sent to us from shops in Europe and the States for binding mounting. The Mission has a flex that is suited to most skiers and is the perfect ticket to access big mountain skiing. The Mission is a Free Ride ski dedicated to effortless performance and pleasure. Scott's dual radius side cut, makes the Mission a more versatile ski, less confined to one type of skiing or terrain. Two combined radiuses create the sidecut or shape of the ski. Depending on whether the the short and/or long radius is in front of, or behind the effective edge, the ski becomes more agrresive or more managable at the turn entry or turn exit.

Our Advice: The Mission is an excellent tool for accessing big mountain skiing, perfect for use as a second weapon for powder days. The wide footprint gives superb float in soft snow, whilst the wood laminate core is responsive, fun and lively to ski. Unlike many of the dedicated powder skis available, the Mission has a tight turnining 14.7 m turn radius so they won't handle like a super tanker when you finish an off piste run on hard pack groomed piste in resort. These skis definately prefer soft snow to hard pack and are best used off piste 70 % of the time. If your requirement is a free ride ski for all-round use, the Scott Neo or Dynastar Mythic Legend are a better choice.
NB - MOUNTING BINDINGS If you are buying skis and bindings together, we will require your boot sole length to position the binding in the correct place on the ski. We will also require your current height and weight to adjust the safety relaese on the binding to the recommende settings. This information can be entered up on the binding pages where aqpplicable. We do not offer guaranteed next day delivery on ski/binding packages.
Scott have now sold out of this ski, new stock is available again autumn 2008.
