The Scott Aztec lives on in this special limited edition ski. Available in the UK from Backcountry UK only. Scott wanted to replace the much loved Aztec this season with a softer flexing version of the ski aimed at female skiers (Aztec Maya). After much consultation with the more specialist ski shops around the globe, it was decided that this was a mistake and the original Scott Aztec has been reintroduced as the Scott Aztec Limited. Identical in every way to the original Aztec ski, the only change this ski sees for this season is a new colour. We have also ordered a limited quantity of the Aztec Maya in the shorter sizes for the ladies, men however are strongly advised to use the Aztec Limited.
Our Advice: Back by popular demand, Scott's Aztec All Mountain proved to be a favourite amongst many of our Customers last season. The Aztec has proven it'self suitable for use in a variety of activities, snow conditions and terrain. A great choice for intermediate to advanced skiers wanting to push their backcountry ski skills to the next level. The Aztec is robust enough to use as a general purpose ski for a mix of piste, off piste and touring. The Ski has an all-mountain foot-print, providing sufficient float in all but the deapest of snow and the flex is even, lively and fun to ski. This is possibly one of the best value all round skis we've seen in rececnt seasons. The guides and instructors we work with say the Aztec Limited out performs skis such as the Rossignol bandit B2 (now called the Bandit B78). The main problem we have in the shop here is trying to persuade customers that a cheaper ski will ski as well as (and we know better than) a Bandit B2/B78. Fortunately the Aztec has had such good reviews that you don't just have to take our word for it !!!! Al, Jason and david on our test team have chosen the Aztec as their general work ski. Although Al will also be using a Dynastar Legend 8000 this season. The Aztec Limited is an excellent choice for ski mountaineers wanting all-round performance with out compromising weight.
