The Scarpa T1 Intuition is the king of telemark boots and has reached near cult status. The T1 leads the field in this stiffness catagory of telemark boot and is aimed at aggressive resort based skiers and free riders. The asymetric bellows is progressive and natural in feel, flexing where it should accross the ball of the foot instead of over the top of the toes. The shell has increased stiffness and torsional rigidity, with a steeper forward lean angle to the cuff than softer models such as the T2 Eco. A rigid wrap around tongue and high cuff give maximum support and performance in all but the most extreme of conditions. A combination of all these factors mean the scarpa T1 provides excellent torsional hold and control while turning as well as great power transmision through the sole of the boot into the binding footplate.
The T1 is probably as stiff a boot as most Telemarkers are ever likely to need. These are a great upgrade, once you have honed your skills, on a softer flex boot such as the T2 and Syner-G. The T1 offers experienced telemarkers an increase in stiffness without a loss of sensitivity. The taller cuff and stiffer flex of the T1, is not as comfortable for touring as Scarpa's T2, so some people like to Run two boots if they, do a wide mix of skiing regularly.
