Scarpa Matrix Thermo : Manufacturers description. The Matrix is the ski tourer's favorite, the boot you want for performance, technical perfection, and innovative and functional details.

The shell is in Pebax® with three micro adjust buckles - and a Velcro strap for extremely precise closure. The double injected cuff is the strong point of this style which assures an excellent hold on the tibia, allowing for a softer tongue - a great plus on the ascent. The cuff-tongue structure represents an exceptionally efficient and comfortable support, enhanced by the lightweight, custom-molded PLUSFIT® liner and overlap closure system. The posterior lock/unlock mecchanism is also very efficient with two positions and an allen wrench adjustable-amount of forward lean.

Thanks to these innovative solutions and the compatible with Dynafit bindings, Matrix assures excellent performance both uphill and downhill - with a snug fit and controlled sensitivity on the descent. The uphill hike is very natural. And finally - the Matrix is a great looker as well.

Our Advice:  The Matrix is an excellent dedicated performance ski touring boot that is light in weight, yet robust enough to cope with the wear and tear of general touring.  Soft and forgiving on long skinning ascents, with enough support in the wrap around cuff to enjoy the descents.  

      Scarpa have use a more relaxed fit in the Matrix making it very comfortable on extended trips. The forefoot is roomy without being sloppy and there is a reasonable amount of volume over the instep area. The thermoform inner is much warmer and lighter than standard liners, they can also be custom formed to the shape of your foot.  Scarpa We recommend using Conformable supportive footbeds with this product. Without stabilising the foot on this type of footbed, we cannot guarantee fit.
