Scarpa Lady Ranger Gore-Tex

A classic model of walking boot, the Scarpa Ranger Gore-tex is a great boot for U.K hillwalking. The Ranger offers superb comfort with a broad high volume fit. A Gore-TeX lining offers increased weather protection and a Vibram sole with EVA cushion provides sufficient shock absorption and grip. The Ranger has a softer flex and upper than boots such as Asolo's Powermatic, Scarpa's ZG10 or Meindl's Vakuum. This means they are relatively comfortable out of the box and require little breaking in. Best suited to fell or hilly type terrain, the Scarpa Ranger is ideal for footpath walking across the U.K. Although the Ranger is unsuitable for use with crampons in winter, it can be used with istep gips such as Gravels Spider.

The comfort and performance of this type of footwear is greatly enhanced by the use of orthotic/arch support footbeds such as those from Conformable or Sole, which we feel out perform footbeds from companies such as Superfeet. Due to a total lack of foot support, we do not recommend the use of Sorbothane footbeds for hillwalking.
