The Salomon Quest Pro Pebax is the top of the range model in Salomon's Free Ride boot range. Constructed from a Pebax nylon foot and a P.U. cuff, the Quest Pro Pebax is the lightest in the Salomon Quest range. Aimed at adventurous Free Riders and Off Piste skiers, the Quest Pro Pebax is a great boot for accessing big mountain skiing. Commited resort based  Free Riders will find the Salomon Quest Pro Pebax secure and comfortable for sutained boot or skinning ascents when accessing more interesting terrain without compromising performance on the descents. The salomon Quest Pro Pebax is also suitable for the occasional day out Ski Mountaineering.    

For Free Ride/ Off Piste skiing.  The Salomon Quest Pro Pebax like all Free Ride boots is aimed at adventurous Free Riders and Off Piste skiers seeking more interesting terrain in and around the edges of resorts. The Salomon Quest Pro Pebax is suitable for accessing Off Piste runs from lift stations where booting or skinning is kept to a minimum. The Quest Pro Pebax is supplied with mountaineering soles for use in Free Ride bindings and alpine soles for use in standard ski bindings are available as optional extras. 

For Ski Mountaineering. Whilst the Salomon Quest Pro Pebax is suitable for the occasional day tour or even overnight into a hut, it is not a Ski Mountaineering boot. Free Ride boots of this type tend to be stiffer in flex, much heavier and more cumbersome than a dedicated Ski Mountaineering boot. If your main skiing activity is Ski Mountaineering, the Salomon Quest Pro Pebax is the wrong choice of boot. Free Ride boots are intended for Off Piste skiing in and around the edges of resorts where skinning is kept to a minimum.
