Karhu Kodiak : Manufacturers description. Special Offer, rrp £370.00, offer price £270.00.The Kodiak has won major praise at all the ski tests. The Kodiak has skied from the frozen shoulders of Mount Everest to the summit of the Grand Teton. It won universal praise in every ski review. Like the Kodiak of decades ago, it's bound to become a legend in its' own right, as a versatile quiver of one. The Kodiak has a progressive sidecut with variable radius from tip to tail for quick initiation, solid edge hold and a smooth finish to the turn. Titanium power claws provide improved energy transmission under foot, they are inverted at the tip and tail to reduce weight.

Our Advice: The Kodiak is an awsome ski, stable at speed with plenty of vibration damping. These skis are torsionally stiff enabling good edge hold on steeper icier terrain and the Free Ride footprint provides ample float in deep snow. Karhu don't issue a turn radius but we recon the ski has a 19/20m radius, the Kodiak certainly prefers longer radius turns without having the turning circle of a super tanker. The wood core is lively to ski with plenty of rebound in the tails and alot of fun to ride. There are rave reviews for the Kodiak on several North American websites. K2 thought that Karhu skis were so good that they have now bought the company.
