K2 8611 Summit SUper Light + Fritschi Explore Bindings :
K2 8611 Summit Superlight : These extremely light weight touring skis, have a slimmed down wood laminate core, that is lovingly wrapped in loads and loads of carbon fibre. This makes them light weight yet torsionaly stiff enough to hold an edge. They have a classic all mountain footprint which gives sufficent float in soft snow. A soft flex and a 17m turn radius make them lively and responsive to ski. Ideal for lightweight touring and suitable for most levels of skier ability.
NB. We now have only 160 cm lengths left in this ski.
Our Advice : We're very impressed with this ski, over the last 3 seasons they've seen action in the Alps, Antarctica, Greenland and the Himalayas. Team these skis up with a set of backcountry bindings and you have an excellent, light weight touring package suitable for use in a variety of terrain. The Summit Super Light is a dedicated touring ski and as such is not suitable for use as a general piste ski. Whilst Light weight skis of this nature suit most people, skiers of a heavier build are advised to choose, slightly heavier skis stiffer Touring skis, such as the Scott Aztec Limited. For a lot of people though, these skis are an excellent choice when light weight equipment is a consideration.
