Our Advice : The Haglofs Ascent 38 is a great light weight climbing and mountaineering pack without beeing to flimsy and light. The pack has two compression straps on each side which will also take skis. The telescopic lid is also detachable and there is a compression/securing strap at the top of the pack, under the lid. The hipbelt can also be stashed away behind the lumbar pad. The pack has two ice axe loops and a set of haul loops. a chest strap is standard and pack is compatible with hydration systems. This pack is extremely well priced. Also available in a 28 litre version.
