Our Advice: The Fritschi Free Ride is the worlds most popular, technical free ride binding. Less complicated and more reliable than other off piste bindings, the Free Ride has justly earned its' place as a favourite amongst serious off piste skiers.
These bindings suit the more aggressive, adventurous skier wanting a proven, dependable free ride/touring binding to do every thing.The Free Ride is strong enough to use for standard piste skiing, whilst being light enough to use in touring situations.
The Free Ride is supplied with standard 86 mm brakes, although wider 100 mm brakes are available and we will exchange them free of charge, when you buy ski and binding together. If you are planning to do a lot of skinning, we recommend fitting return springs, to help with kick turns and side stepping. Crampons are a must in icier alpine terrain and leashes are also a good idea when travelling in crevassed terrain.
