Black Diamond Flick Lock Traverse Poles

The Black Diamond Flick Lock Traverse is our most popular adjustable ski pole. Improved this season, BD have added an extra rubber grip below the handle, eliminating the need to add your own grip tape.

   Flick Lock poles have external clasps for adjustment instead of internal expansion cones. The Black diamond Flick Lock system is reliable and won't collapse/ self adjust, or freeze like standard, internal adjustable pole systems. Easy to adjust wearing gloves or mitts.

  Two part adjustable poles of this type are better for skiing with than three part poles as they are less prone to damage and more rigid when pole planting.

This year Black Diamond have also introduced a stronger/more rigid two part adjustable ski pole for more aggressive free riders (see Black Diamond's Boundary pole).

Tip : Keep some duck tape (gaffa tape) handy on your poles, useful for quick repairs and binding your skins to your skis when they come unstuck. It is worth checking the adhesive side of the tape each season if you have not used it as it will become less sticky with age.
