Black Diamond Covert 32 Litre Ski Pack : The Black Diamond Covert. A low profile, highly technical pack for moving fast in the backcountry, the Covert is made with tough, water-shedding 420d nylon and 1300d ballistic reinforcements to fend off sharp edges and rough rock. The clamshell design with a half-moon zipper lets you retrieve gear quickly, and the outer pocket holds a shovel, probe and avalanche safety gear. Contoured shoulder straps and hip belt carry loads comfortably. Ski and board attachments provide quick lashing points for carrying your ride.

Our Advice : Black Diamond's Convert 32 is a great ski pack, although only a 32 Litre pack, we think this pack is probably a little bigger. It's certainly big enough for a big day out or even a week of hut based ski mountaineering.
A generous main compartment contains Hydration sleeve and enough room for all your kit. The front pocket (approx 56 x 32 cm) is big enough to pack shovel, probe and other backcountry essentials. Skis, snowboards, snowshoes etc... attach easily, with a dedicated ski slot and two compression straps on each side and two adjustable quick release straps on the front.. The two adjustable ice axe loops can be retracted back inside the front shovel pocket. This leaves the already uncluttered outer even cleaner, meaning less loose strapping to get caught on ski lifts etc... The shoulder strap has a built in hydration hose insulator connected to the bladder pocket inside the pack.
