The Black Diamond Covert is a low profile, highly technical pack for moving fast in the backcountry, ideal for off piste skiing and ski mountaineering.
Built from tough, water resistant 420d nylon with 840d ballistic nylon reinforcements, the Covert is a clamshell/ zip-around design for easy access. The exterior has all the features expected in a top of the range ski pack. Comfortable harness with waist belt, chest strap, side stabilising straps and top balancing straps - the back panel is a firm laminated foam with no mesh to collect the snow. Two compression straps and a ski holster on each side enable skis to be carried as an 'A' frame. There is also a diagnol carrying system with a unique adjustable cable for fast, secure attachment. The Covert has one adjustable ice axe loop a pocket on the waist belt and a soft goggle pocket. An insulated, zippered sleeve for a hydration system is located on the oppersite shoulder strap to the Avalung hose.

Our Advice: The Covert makes a great off piste and day touring pack, which can also be used for walking, commuting etc when not on the snow. There's is enough room avalanche and glacier safety kit, plus all the essentials for a day out in the backcountry. If you are an experienced packer, the generous 30 litre capacity of the medium-large back size can also be used for multi day hut tours.
